Warm and nice looking! Recently I bought a pair of similar
style and loved the warmth, style and comfort, especially
without socks. I wanted a pair that I could also wear with
slacks and indoors, so I ordered the Brooks. They are truly
the best boot for warmth, but the tread does not grip as
well as I had hoped. It appears to be enough of a lug, but
isn't. I usually wear a 7 1/2 and like in the tall model,
the size 7 fit fine.
Great Snow Boots - I bought these because they are easy to
pull on and they keep my feet WARM during these cold New
England winters! They come up high enough on the calf to
trudge through snow and not end up with wet snow chunks in
your boot. They are extremely comfortable, and have decent
traction on the soles. If you are looking for serious arch
support, however, these may not be for you. Also, the
leather/suede is beautiful, but you probably don't want to
use these in heavy rains/puddles. They look great with jeans
or a skirt and are worth the price. I love them! A note on
Zappo's: You'll be glad you ordered online. They take all
the hassle out of buying shoes without trying them on first,
because they have free shipping on the delivery (AND the
return, if you don't want the shoes).
Toasty! The best example I can give of the warmth of this
style is: My office can be drafty, but my feet were
comfortable all day while wearing them. I changed to a
dressier boot to go out after work, and my toes felt frozen
within five minutes! The only down-side has been a bit of
transfer of the dye from the fur to my toes.
Love this boot! I normally wear a 7.5 but I was told that
they stretch a bit so I got a 7. It was a snug fit for bit,
but it has now conformed to my foot perfectly. They are very
comfortable and REALLY warm. Perfect for the snow and cold
weather in Philadelphia.
